Karate Kid 2 takes us back to the roots of martial arts while exploring themes of honor, family, and cultural identity. This sequel, directed by John G. The film is set in California and focuses on Okinawa, Japan, the birthplace of Mr. Miyagi (masterfully played by Pat Morita). The change of setting not only brings a fresh aesthetic but also offers a deeper dive into Miyagi’s past, enriching his character and the bond he shares with Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio).
The story revolves around unresolved conflicts from Miyagi’s youth and Daniel’s development as a martial artist and a person.
